Big First Inning Lifts Southington To Win Over Barnums
The Southington Blue Knights scored nine runs in the first inning on Wednesday evening en route to a 10-3 victory over the Bridgeport Barnums.
Southington added two more runs in the second inning before Bridgeport scored single runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings.
In the third, Will Stellato singled to left to bring in Justin Higgins with the Barnums first run,
The Barnums second run came on Joey D'Elia's double to center field to plate Christian Homa in the fourth.
The final Bridgeport run came in the fifth. Stellato hit a bases-loaded sacrifice fly to score Chris Domizio, who had walked to lead off the inning.
The Barnums are back in action on Friday vs Waterbury at Municipal Stadium at 5:45pm.
