Barnums Nipped by Waterbury

The Bridgeport Barnums fell to Waterbury 2-0 on Saturday at Seaside Park in Bridgeport.

Waterbury picked up runs in the second and the fifth, and Bridgeport's offense could do nothing to get anything going.

The Barnums were held to four baserunners, two hits, a walk, and a hits batsman.

Ed Hogan threw five strong innings on the mound, allowing just one earned run on four hits, while walking one and striking out seven.

Liam Rosengren was good in relief with two shutout innings, allowing just an infield hit, and picking up two strikeouts.

The Barnums are back in action on Monday at 5:45pm at Seaside Park vs Hamden for the final regular season home game of the season.
