Barnums' Edged By Wallingford in Low-Scoring Game
The Bridgeport Barnums' fell to the Wallingford Silver Storm 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Seaside Park in Bridgeport.
Wallingford put up a run in the first on an error, stolen base and single.
The game remained 1-0 until the sixth when the Silverstorm tacked on another.
The Barnums' loaded the bases with nobody out in the sixth and a sacrifice fly by Kieran Shea brought home one run to get Bridgeport on the board.
The Barnums' could get no more in the sixth or seventh, despite chances.
Joey Sanguiolo threw a complete game for Bridgeport, allowing just the two runs (one earned) on four hits while walking two and striking out six.
The Barnums' are back in action on Tuesday at home at 5:45pm vs Hamden at Seaside Park.
