Barnums Tie Hamden in Midweek Affair
The Bridgeport Barnums and Hamden Miners ended in a 3-3 tie on Wednesday night at Seaside Park in Bridgeport.
The Barnums took a 2-0 lead in the second inning as Ian Nilsen had an RBI double and Will Singewald had an RBI single.
Hamden scored one run in the top of the third to cut the Barnums lead in half.
The score stayed 2-1 until the sixth.
In the sixth, Hamden scored two runs to take a 3-2 lead.
Bridgeport tied the game in the bottom half of the frame. With two on and two out, John Heitzman singled to right field to plate Kieran Shea to tie the game at three.
That would be the way the game would finish up.
Joey Sanguiolo threw six innings of three run baseball and Hayden Lee threw a scoreless seventh.
