Barnums Fall to Glastonbury In Mid-Week Affair

The Bridgeport Barnums fell to the Glastonbury Arrows 5-3 on Wednesday evening at Seaside Park in Bridgeport.

Glastonbury went up 3-0 mid fourth before Bridgeport got on the board.

With two outs in the fourth, Ian Nilsen and Blake Benway both walked. A wild pitched moved runners to second and third before a pickoff attempt of Benway at second went into center field allowing Nilsen to come in and score.

Glastonbury would add two more in the fifth to stretch their lead to 5-1.

Bridgeport cut into the deficit with two runs in the sixth. With the bases loaded and two outs, Joey D’Elia singled to left to plate Will Stellato. The next batter, Will Singewald was hit by a pitch to force in a run.

That would be all the Barnums would get as they would leave the bases loaded.

Bridgeport is right back in action on Thursday at 5:45pm at home vs Waterbury.
